# Why do you ask for additional details about the new provider when transferring my pension out of Collegia?

For certain transfers, we must ask a series of questions to make sure that the transfer out is not a scam or not in your best interests. This might be because the fees charged by your new provider are excessively high or they invest in very risky assets that may put your pension pot in peril. We understand that delays in the transfer process can be frustrating. But we try to make it as painless as possible (and avoid it where we can).
